About University Advancement
The University Advancement division promotes
and supports the University of Toronto by engaging a worldwide
community of alumni and friends in support of its work as one of the world's leading research universities.
Working closely with the university's senior leadership, its
constituencies, alumni and volunteer leaders, University Advancement
leads and coordinates alumni relations, fundraising and stewardship
efforts across the university. Our uniquely integrated structure
encourages each division, department or college to bring its particular
strengths and expertise to the common cause of university advancement.
Our staff aspires to the highest standards of achievement and
accountability for advancement professionals.
By communicating about our alumni, and the achievements of faculty,
students and staff, University Advancement fosters a sense of community,
commitment and common purpose among the university's
stakeholders.
Investment made by alumni and friends provides the margin for excellence
required to meet the University of Toronto's ambitious goals in the
global arena. University Advancement facilitates alumni and donor
support by encouraging alumni advocacy for public support and
facilitating private support for key university priorities.
